Books teach us lessons about life, the world around us and the people that inhabit it, and those lessons enrich our understanding of ourselves and others.

Child molesters manipulate, coerce and deceive everything and everyone around them yet remain blithely ignorant of their own moral depravity and cruelty.

Spanish word for cholera is cólera, which has a dual meaning. As well as the disease that provides the background setting for the novel, cólera can also mean passionate anger.
