The reconstruction of the Arabic tradition offered by the Prolegomena volume illustrates the importance of these translations in Arabic agricultural literature and enables better understanding of the genesis of the Byzantine Geoponika. Therefore, this introduction will be useful for classics scholars and orientalists.
