For anyone who has not visited the great continent of Australia it is difficult to imagine the vastness and complexity of the early settlers trying to find out something of their new home. Therefore, this book is an interesting read to discover a little of their adversities and triumphs in doing so. The letters to and fro between England and Australia are particularly revealing.
Overall, a good read for anyone interested in 18th and 19th century history of the British colonies.
