Camilla Isley

Camilla Isley is an Italian author known for her contemporary romantic comedy novels. Her novels, including I Wish for You (2015) and the Joanna Price series, have gained popularity for their light-hearted and clean romance stories. With a background in engineering, she transitioned from a career in science to writing, combining her technical precision with creative storytelling.

Born and raised in Italy, Camilla took the practical route by studying mechanical engineering. She completed her bachelor's and master's degrees before starting her career as a procurement project manager. During this time, she met her husband, and when an overseas job opportunity arose for him, they relocated, and Camilla developed her long-held interest in writing.

With more time, Camilla enrolled in online writing courses through platforms such as Coursera and edX. "I had always had an idea for a story," she recalls. By 2014, she had completed her first manuscript, a project she describes as "a labour of love".

Her debut novel, I Wish for You (2015), marked her official entry into the literary world. The book's success encouraged her to continue despite her challenges, such as juggling motherhood and work. Her perseverance paid off, and she has steadily built her career, publishing at least one novel a year. Her writing style, described as humorous and heartwarming, focuses on witty romances with happy endings.

By 2020, Camilla had published over twenty novels. Her works are known for their relatable characters and engaging plots, often set in different global locations.

Camilla's novels target adult and new adult audiences, and she stresses that they are clean romances with no specific age rating. "That's a decision for parents to make," she says. A cat lover and coffee enthusiast, she also enjoys reading, cooking and travelling, which often inspire the settings for her stories.

Camilla Isley lives in Italy.
