Liviu Monsted

Liviu Monsted is the Artistic Director of Mon Sans Productions, an Australian playwright, director and actor with over seven years of experience.

His plays have been professionally performed to full houses in theatres around Sydney such as The Parramatta Riverside Theatre and at the Factory Theatre for the Sydney Fringe Comedy Festival.
He began by writing short plays such as "Temptation", which made it to the finals of Fast + Fresh. From there he moved onto full length plays with Mon Sans Productions. These plays include, "Dog sees God", "Not A Word", "A Broken Law" and "Passing Time".

With a love of all things dark and quirky Monsted’s writing style blends comic wit with thought provoking drama. His stories often err on the side of magic realism and allegorical storytelling that defines and mirrors social norms.

He mostly acts in the plays he’s created giving life to characters such as Karl Alan from “Not A Word” and Richard Head from “A Broken Law”. His other performances include CB from "Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead”, John Worthing in “The Importance of Being Earnest” and the leads in the web series “Sam and Sammy” and “Coffee and Tea”.
