Anna Marshall

Anna Marshall is a Scottish non-fiction author and freelance publicist based near Edinburgh. Marshall is best known for The 44 Scotland Street Cookbook (2023) and The Little Book of Christmas & Hogmanay (2025). Marshall writes about Scottish food, customs, and related culture.

Anna Marshall works as an arts administrator, events organiser, publicist, and fundraiser. She has worked with Alexander McCall Smith for 13 years. This work is linked to the 44 Scotland Street series.

In 2023, Anna Marshall published The 44 Scotland Street Cookbook (2023). The cookbook is based on Alexander McCall Smith’s 44 Scotland Street novels. The book draws on scenes set around tables, kitchens, and cafés. The recipes are linked to characters and meals from the series.
