Albrecht Dürer – Supplement zur „Menschlichen Proportion“. Die Dresdner Handschrift

At the Saxon State Library in Dresden, bound into Dürer’s so-called Dresden Sketchbook, there is Dürer manuscript from 1523 that is considered an advance text to Book 1 of the 1528 Four books on human proportions. In fact, it is not identical to the printed version, as was previous thought, but differs substantially. In addition, it contains all of the illustrations planned for the woodcut.
