Kuhn coined the term “paradigm shift” in 1962, and since then, it has taken on discursive power beyond the realm of the philosophy of science. This work’s examination of the cultural applications of the “paradigmatic” helps us to achieve a more precise understanding of the different ways that the term has been used.
