Including manuscripts lost in wars and fragments, it provides descriptions for 316 codices from the 8th to the 16th centuries. A focus is placed on manuscripts preserved from old monastic and university libraries in the Rhine-Moselle region and the Lower Rhine, some of them created during the reform movement of the late Middle Ages.
